People: Ivo Menting
Ivo grew up in Schagen, near Alkmaar and went to the ‘MEAO’ (education on economics and administration) in Alkmaar.
After his study he worked for 5 years in 2 companies as bookkeeper. As of 1999 Ivo was employed with Andersen (became Deloitte as of 2002) at the international payroll department and became a specialist with respect to expatriate payrolls (30%-rule, shadow payrolls, interpreting foreign wages elements), international social security and salary splits.
During his employment with Deloitte, Ivo joined two task forces to implement and select a new payroll provider to work with. He tested several payroll systems and was involved with Hillbrook’s choice to implement the payroll system of ‘Numbers’, a state of the art on-line salary system.
As of November 2010, Ivo joined Hillbrook Expatriate Tax Solutions as Manager payroll services and reunited with Henk Amorison with whom he worked with Deloitte for over 10 years.
Ivo lives together with Nancy in Alkmaar and they both like to drive on their motor cycles around The Netherlands. He likes to play tennis and to travel around the world, especially South Africa.
